Feels like a legitimate game you would have on a GBC!

Makes for an amazing time-waster, really it's only problem I can see is the lack of healing items.

[Izak Land Demo v2]

This game shows incredible promise, and I feel like it has the chance to be something great. There are still a few problems, however.
Having jumping mapped to the "Up" key is a bit weird, but can work with simple platformers like this one
The wall-jump is a bit too much like Mega Man X's wall-jump, which while does make the player feel more powerful then a Mario-styled wall-jump, feels out of place in less action/combat focused games.
The sound effects are a bit basic, even for "Retro Indie" standards, but considering the game seems to be in alpha, it's probably just placeholders (same with the music).
I personally think you should make the music/SFX less like the NES and more like the Amiga, as I think this would fit the art better.
Despite it's flaws, I can recognize the game is unfinished and is very much subject to change, here's hoping you can make Izak Land the best it can be!

This game is really fun and pleasing on the eyes, but it is far too easy to get swarmed unless you get lucky with upgrades.
